Talking Ben Sweat’s Release & Previewing Sporting KC v. Colorado
For the Glory KC reacts to the news that Ben Sweat was released and preview Sporting Kansas City’s game against the Colorado Rapids this weekend.
For the Glory KC is back (just like we said we’d be back) with the 25th episode of the show.
On this week’s second episode, Sheena and I preview this weekend’s home game between Sporting Kansas City and the Colorado Rapids (if you preview to read, I wrote a preview too). Both teams enter the match fighting to not be in the lead for the wooden spoon. But before we get to the preview, we have to talk about the big news that Ben Sweat is no longer on the team. We also answer your mailbag questions!
Here is a quick rundown of topics (and approximate start times):
- A player is released – 2:42
- Sporting KC vs Colorado preview – 11:59
- Mailbag – 20:10
- Digital Crawl – 31:37

But what if the pod has cursed Sporting? I kid, I kid.
I agree watching sports shouldn’t be a downer (at least not this early in the season). But my joie de Sporting has nearly flatlined, so I’m hoping for a good performance on Saturday since they come out here the following week. I want a win, but can’t get my hopes up.
Thanks again for the transcripts 🙂
I’ve kind of failed on transcripts lately, but I figured I could leave that link and anyone can use it. I think my OCD bothers me to copy and paste in that very rough transcript and not spend a bunch of time fixing it.
The service I use to record my podcast does a beautiful transcript that’s actually really good and says who is talking, but it’s expensive. So maybe if they sell it a la carte instead of in this premium package full of other stuff I don’t want/need, then I can snag it. It’s brand new, so we’ll see.
Just taking the time to provide one is awesome, I don’t mind if there are minor typos or how to access it. I used to listen to several pods, but I’ve found only a few have transcripts and/or subtitles on video recordings. It’s great For the Glory KC is accessible!
