The Kansas City Current continued their undefeated start to the 2025 NWSL season with a 2-0 win at Audi Field against the Washington Spirit. Goals from Lo LaBonta and Temwa Chawinga led the Current to victory as Lorena got her first shutout in goal for Kansas City. Chawinga’s goal was a historic one in KC NWSL history as it equaled the record for most league goals for a player playing with a KC NWSL teams, tying Lauren Holiday and Amy Rodriguez at 22 goals.
