A tough match next versus Chihuahua

Erik Bergrud from the Kansas City Comets broadcast team and Thad Bell from the Kansas City Soccer Journal recorded the latest episode of The Blue Turf. We were not at the “World Famous” Kansas City Soccer Dome with too many conflicts this week.

First up in our discussion was the loss in San Diego. The Sockers are always tough and the Comets did not play up to their potential. Next is a tough match back in Kansas City. It’s a rematch of last season’s final when Chihuahua comes to town. Kansas City has played Chihiahia tough in the past, leading until the very end on more than one occasion but still not able to get that win. With San Diego last match and the reigning champions in town, the Comets are in a rough spot in the season. Will Kansas City win? Can they win?

A big part of the conversation was MASL news. An altercation between Tacoma and Milwaukee generated a lot of discussion about whether fans and players have too much contact. Should players be posting on fan social media. One of the great things about indoor soccer is the close relationship between teams, fans and players. Can it be a negative?
