Talking about the loss and previewing the next game – Keeping Current podcast

Jillian Carroll Letrinko from the Kansas City Current broadcast team, Daniel Sperry from the Kansas City Star, and Thad Bell from the Kansas City Soccer Journal are back with another episode of Keeping Current with Kansas City. We take a look at the loss at Angel City with our number one takeaways from the match. It was the first loss for coach Caroline Sjöblom after assuming the head coach role. It was a bad last fifteen in the first half for the Current but we talk about how they adjusted, learned, and worked on a comeback that fell a little short.  Izzy Rodriguez and Cece Kizer scored but they could not find a third, but it was close.

The Current are on a roll towards breaking their attendance record again. It probably helps that Alex Morgan is in town but they have consistently been growing their fan base without the draw of megastars on the opposing team.  We talk about what the Current will need to do when they face the Wave as they look to get back on track against a strong San Diego team. USWNT star Alex Morgan gets a lot of attention but who else will the Current have to watch out for? When will Michelle Cooper break out and score her first professional goal for Kansas City?
