Sporting KC’s No Good, Very Bad Week

Did Peter Vermes mismanage the last week for Sporting Kansas City? The arguments will be made as the 2023 season slips away.

For the Glory KC is back with the 40th episode of the show! It’s not 50, but that’s a milestone.

On this week’s episode, Sporting Kansas City have a no good, very bad week. Eight days, three games, but just one (!) point. Instead of talking about all the moments from the game, we take a different approach this week and Sheena and I ask each other questions (including questions we saw from you dear readers/listeners).

The Kansas City Current at least gave us some positives for KC soccer this week. It was pretty shaky at times, but they got the job done against the Orlando Pride and the rest of the league is about to be very depleted with National Team callups.

Plus, some bonus USMNT and USWNT content. The United States National Team has had the Nations League and the Gold Cup for the men and the roster is out for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. We’ve got thoughts!

Here is a quick rundown of topics (and approximate start times):

    • Both Sporting KC results (LA Galaxy & Chicago Fire) – 4:22
    • The KC Current win! – 36:56
    • US Soccer News – 44:00
    • Digital Crawl – 58:44
