Juice Boxes and Post Game Stats: Walter’s 100th Appearance



Sporting Kansas City picked up their first road win of the season on Saturday night in Toronto, beating Toronto FC 3-1 on the back of goals by Remi Walter, Jake Davis, and Alenis Vargas. The later two of which scored their first goals for the club. Here are the stats and milestones from Saturday night’s win north of the border.

KC played Toronto for the first time in five years. KC has now not lost to Toronto in 11 years. Their last loss was a 2-1 loss in Toronto on 3/9/2013. KC has gone 7-0-4 against Toronto since they last loss.

Remi Walter made his 100th league appearance for KC, he’s the 41st player to reach that mark.

Tim Melia made his 238th league appearance for KC, breaking his tie with Kerry Zavagnin for 5th all time on that list.

At 20 years, 117 days, Alenis Vargas became the 6th youngest player to score a league goal for KC.

Vargas became the 8th youngest player to score a goal for KC across all competitions.

Daniel Salloi made his 148th start in league play for KC, breaking his tie with Johnny Russell and Benny Feilhaber for 12th all time on that list.

Felipe Hernandez made his 42nd substitute appearance in MLS competitions, tying him with Soony Saad and CJ Sapong for 9th all time on that list.

It was Hernandez’s 39th substitute appearance in league play, breaking his tie with Saad for 11th all time on that list.
