Across State Lines: Blessing Set to Join Lexington in USL Championship

The summer transfer window in the United States is winding down and players are joining new teams around the different leagues. One player who has been without a team since the end of the last MLS season also looks set to join a new club. Former Sporting KC player, Latif Blessing looks set to join Lexington SC in the USL Championship. Blessing, who has been without a club since being unable to come to agreement on a new deal with the Houston Dynamo at the end of the 2024 season. The 28 year old Blessing would be joining his first US club outside MLS, where he’s plied his trade with Kansas City, Los Angeles FC, New England Revolution, and Toronto FC before joining Houston via trade last season. Lexington, in their first season in the USL Championship are looking to keep themselves in a playoff position as the season winds down. Blessing will be joining two other former KC players in Lexington, former Homegrown Player, Brooks Thompson, and former Sporting KC II player, Danny Barbir.
