Across State Lines: More Call Ups for the World Cup

The Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand is just over twenty days away and more and more rosters are starting to come out. While the US Women announced their roster last week that included former Kansas City players Kristie Mewis and Lynn Williams, more former Kansas City players are being  named to rosters as they come out. Five other former Kansas City players so far have been named to their respective country’s national teams.  Starting in CONCACAF, former KC Current goalkeeper, Sydney Schneider and former FC Kansas City forward Tiffany Cameron have both been named to Jamaica’s roster for the tournament. Two UEFA nations have also called in former Kansas City players with former Current player Jessica Silva called in by Portugal and former FCKC midfielder Sinead Farrelly called in for Ireland. Finally in Nigeria, former FCKC player Toni Payne has been called up for the World Cup as well.
