For the second time in three weeks, Sporting Kansas City lost a game where they conceded a candidate for Goal of the Year. This week in Portland it was Santiago Moreno scoring with an overhead kick as the Portland Timbers topped Sporting KC by a score of 1-0 at Providence Park.

Here are the stats and milestones from this weekend’s game for Sporting.

Khiry Shelton made his 200th MLS league appearance in his career.

Shelton made his 53rd substitute appearance in league play for KC, tying him with Roger Espinoza and Jack Jewsbury for the most in club history.

Shelton made his 172nd appearance in all competitions for KC, breaking his tie with Ilie Sanchez for 18th all time on that list.

It was his 156th appearance in MLS competitions, breaking his tie with Sanchez for 19th all time on that list.

Santiago Munoz became the 271st player to appear in a league game for KC. He became the 290th player to appear in a game in all competitions.
