First 11 entertainers have been announced. The regulars except for sub-Jake (or Jake-sub?).

Do the players need to get on the field to get their Participation Trophy, or does the whole team get one for attending?

Josh Wallace

3-5-2 is a great formation for Pierre to get his first start against. The big drawback for that formation is space in behind and Pierre can exploit that with well timed runs. He’s gonna have issues if Minnesota get to switch play though cuz he has to defend in space. This is gonna be a good challenge for him defensively and a good case scenario offensively.

David Greenwald

LMAO. Well at least we’ve got an hour and a half to try to level the match.

KCSpurs1996

of course…

Cardinal sin against a 3-5-2. You never let them switch play like that. Got an easy corner, then gave up a goal.

kcrews123

Agada………

KCSpurs1996

i know you can’t dissent, but no way in hell was that a foul on agada

kcrews123

This is ridiculous.

Josh Wallace

Pierre caught ball watching Leibold not following his man. SKC need to wake up.

A&W

Unkel’d

David Greenwald

MNUFC deserved the 2nd goalbecause the buildup was great but he was definitely offside.

A&W

You’re Kayden Pierre. Your whole thing is that you play like a winger out of the back. Your spot is currently occupied by a central midfielder who stated at a holiday inn express last season and this year he’s showing cracks. Tonight he’s suspended so you get your shot. Your opponent leaves your acres of space when you’re in desperate need of a goal. It writes itself, right? You make the run and show your skill and make the coach think, right? Wrong. You back pass to Rosero. You lose your mark. You play like a third centerback.

Someone needs to give this kid some of Mom’s spaghetti

Josh Wallace

To be fair though, he’s gotten forward several times this half and even switched and played winger for a couple minutes with Thommy. I think he’s trying to find the balance on when to go and when to stay.

Josh Wallace

Dj Taylor for Minnesota has been getting abused by Salloi all half long and they finally get a goal. Doing a great job exploiting the space behind him.

A&W

What the hell is Leibold doing in defense tonight? Straight garbage positioning over and over

A&W

Does every team get the shaft from refs as often as we do?

Steve

anyone have any thoughts to convince me the 2nd goal wasn’t offsides? the line of the 6 yard box pretty clearly showed rosero further from goal than the goal scorer when the ball was passed

David Greenwald

Soccer Photogrammetery (sp) twitter account shows it onside by 1 inch. Credit to Mike Kuhn for finding it.

Steve

thank you, I guess I’ll buy that. still hard to believe

Josh Wallace

Second, SKC has to cut out these long switches. They had 3-4 long switches and every single was a corner. One resulted in a goal. You cant let a team who plays with this width switch play, thats deadly.

Also would love to see Russell sooner rather than later, he will combine with Pierre much better than Thommy.

Josh Wallace

The game has stalled a bit for SKC. Its time for Johnny Russell. I think your gonna see much better combination on the right side with him.

kcrews123

Wish we’d take Salloi out for once. He’s been a non-factor for at least 80% of the season. He’s not going to get us a needed goal, might as well see if someone else can

Questionmark

He’s had a decent game, but I want to see Vargas against a weary defense.

kcrews123

The standard for him to have a decent game is pretty low though, considering he really hasn’t contributed anything so far this season.

I’d love to get Vargas in. We might get lucky to get him for the final 5 minutes

Edit:78th minute, Vargas could have likely taken off with that and been 1v1 with the keeper. Instead, Salloi takes himself too wide and yanks a weak attempt at a shot.

I agree, but for who? I love Vargas, but right now his game is one-dimensional. You cant have that on the wing with the way SKC play. I thought Afrifa would be that guy but PV doesn’t seem to have the same trust in him as he did in the preseason, and Afrifa didn’t exactly take his chances when he did get opportunities.

kcrews123

Vargas should be getting a minimum 25-30 minutes in games like tonight where we need a goal and Salloi is offering nothing. Salloi has been useless, so I don’t think it matters too much if Vargas currently has one-dimensional game, because it would at least give some form of direction of what to do on that side, especially if he’s good at his one-dimensional game

Have we had a single shot this half? I just keep seeing the usual aimless crosses, and we’re playing so boring that Ive been zoning out.

Minnesota is doing what we should have done every time we had a lead (that we then gave up) and is killing the game well, slowing down the pace, etc.

Vermes and his “tactics” – they make no sense. Salloi is still on, how?!

SMART sub by PV. SKC basically have Pulido making runs in behind and getting on second balls. That a lot of Vargas’s game so why not get him in? Good sub.

kcrews123

2 minutes? That’s a joke. There was 5 substitution stoppages, a couple yellows, then the other random fouls and dead balls.

skcfanipromise

well, 10 games in, 2 wins. progress.

A&W

I had my stopwatch going. We got 39 seconds of actual play time of that 2 minutes. SKC didn’t do themselves any favors, but they were absolutely fucked by the refs, again. Should’ve ended 1-1 with another minute at the end, at least, to keep giving it a go.
