Big Bear out first. A beautiful evening in the bay.
How’s it going? You still there?
I left. Frankly this performance doesn’t deserve any other comment from me..
That’s fair
This is going to go our way tonight
We’re 10 minutes in and this comment has already not aged well
I was trying some manifestation
Well… Crap
And so it goes…
Well.
That didn’t take long. Both Zusi and Voloder fail. Zusi causing both centerbacks to slide across. Voloder not tracking the back post run. Simple finish on a cross that had all day to be measured.
They are absolutely targeting the space behind Zusi. Drawing Rosero out to the wing and unbalancing SKC’s defense.
I get KP is hurt (not that he’d be playing if he was healthy). But the undying loyalty to Zusi and Roger will forever be the hallmark of PV’s downfall.
The guy used to be great at turning over a player prior to them getting old. We sold Dwyer early. Sold Ike early. Let Besler go.
But somehow, Vermes is obsessed with playing two guys with AARP memberships.
Zusi has been FUCKING TERRIBLE all night. From the first touch he’s been shit.
I do not understand the reverence for this man. He’s been washed.
I already didn’t expect a win, but at this point I hope we don’t score AND that we get blown out, just so there’s more pressure on Vermes to own up to SOMETHING for once. If we lose and don’t score – and no statement is made by Vermes – even more fans will turn against him, which I’m more than ok with at this point.
I like the the trying of Thommy on the right. Salloi and Thommy at least won’t be occupying the same space.
Thommy still playing selfish hero ball.
Hmm? I thought he sent a couple good crosses through already. Didn’t see hero ball.
Dribble right and rip off a shot from the top corner of the box that never had a prayer of going in.
Thommy’s looking better so far, Russel is slashing, Pulido a tad bit slow, Salloi kind of sloppy, Felipe indecisive… we need two goals guys, let’s get it together.
And there’s the “captain” with a blind pass back to the opposing striker. Nearly costs SKC a second goal.
Lazy play.
There it is
We officially suck. We are toothless.
Who is this female commentator? Apparently the defender knocks the ball up in the air opposite direction of how he came in to tackle. In what shape of form did he get ball first before a high boot on russell???
Obvious PK. WTF was that
Haha we’re a joke. Ownership needs to own up. Yeah that was a stupid and airheaded play, but there’s so many more issues that need to be fixed.
What the hell Castellanos. You are an absolute moron for that. Game is going off early for the second game in a row.
That’s kind of weak if you ask me
Well, 2 week in a row. Pulido fails on a break. Ball comes back. And Castellanos absolutely panics.
And now 10 men and 2 goals down. GG all.
#VermesOut
I dunno.. The PK looked soft to me. Biased because we get absolutely mugged in the box and never get calls. Yikes.
SKC has sucked the joy out of the beautiful game… why do I torture myself week in and week out with these guys?
HAHAHAHA of course we subbed Pulido. So fucking stupid. I think this is my breaking point.
Wait, you’re saying you wouldn’t have taken out your CF to put on a slow CB when you’re already down by 2 and have literally nothing to lose? (pretend this is a sarcasm font – doesn’t look like we have that on this site).
Vermes needs to go. I’m so done with him and have been for a few years now
Vermes had better have resigned by Monday
How much worse could we be if we just put SKC II out there. They at least are scoring goals. Against tougher competition, maybe they only score 2 goals in 7.5 matches as well!
Bring on Tulsa Athletic.
Tulsa have to be thinking they’ve got a real chance to advance.
Complete dumpster fire!!
I’m too old for this sh@t.
WTF? Fontas on for Pulido, then Agada on for Hernandez? Why not Fontas for Hernandez, saving a sub and a sub window?
Another Vermes masterclass in in-game tactics. /s
Nice, I’m super glad we brought in another defender to make sure we didn’t give up any more goals while also making sure we score at least a couple…
Should Agada have passed to an open Zusi? Maybe. But IDK what makes Graham think he’s worth getting that pass at this point. He’s terrible and would have bottled it anyways. So yea… I’m fine with Agada being selfish there. Zusi sucks.
It’s not worth it anymore. I’m not a fair weather fan at all, I’m either all in our not and I will torture myself as I continue watching sporting, but this just ridiculous. Nobody cuts off the run of Marie or tracks it. Just why.
Peter/team: You say that this bothers you as much as it does us, but why haven’t you shown that in the field. You say nobody wants to win more than Peter, clearly that don’t feel like the case. I’m not suggesting knee jerk reaction, but something different is needed to fix this
Oh my God Kirby is coming on, no worries guys, the games effectively been saved… Gonna win this one now!
Honestly, this is the first time I haven’t cared. This game is over anyway. Might as well save some legs.
He was the only option… Unfortunately
This club needs a hard, painful rebuild. It’s time to move on from pretty much everyone. Can’t do it all in one season, but there’s not much to salvage. Get whatever fees you can, reinvest heavily in scouting, and try to make a push for 2025.
Bring in fresh eyes at SD and Manager; let them determine who – if anyone – is worth keeping or fits into their vision.
It’s going to get uglier before it can hope to improve.
At the very least get someone to consult before getting Peter outta here
I’d make a run at Mike Jacobs from Nashville. Built them into a contender. Former assistant technical director for SKC. Promote Benny. Clear out most of the first team and replace them with much younger players.
I’m not sure that’s enough separation from the current inbred organization, especially Benny.
SKC really need an outside perspective.

I think Benny has a great soccer mind and isn’t tethered to the ideas that PV has. He does what he’s told with the second team, but if you go back and listen to BSI, it’s clear that he knows his shit. I think he’d be tactically creative and would emphasize creative play more than the crap we’re seeing now.
Benny also experienced the Bundesliga, EPL, and played for Bob Bradley for a while. He’s got a breadth of experience. IMO.
You may very well be right, David. There are others in the organization, though, with similarly impressive resumes that are likely part of the problem.
I wouldn’t necessarily be opposed to Benny if he was part of a far-ranging overhaul. I seem to recall more than one occasion when he butted heads with PV, so perhaps he’d be a good fit.
I’m just very skeptical right now of anyone with ties to Vermes.
#WeDeserveBetter
I get it. I want a total clear out at this point. New sporting director. New techincal director. New academy director. New strength and conditioning staff. New medical staff. Total clear out.
If one or 2 changes happen, then it’s gotta be with strength/conditioning and with the medical staff. Too many injuries and misdiagnosed issues or misunderstandings with what is happening.
Duke is NOT a right back…
At what point does an organized, in-stadium fan protest make sense?
If not now, when?
This isn’t close to good enough – we deserve better.
