It was a rough weekend for Sporting KC’s two teams this weekend with the two teams suffering lopsided losses in their games. Saturday afternoon Sporting KC was on the road against Real Salt Lake. And while Dejan Joveljic scored his fourth goal of the season, Sporting ended up losing 3-1 to Salt Lake. Saturday night at Victory Field in Swope Park, SKCII allowed three goals in a nine minute stretch late in the first half and couldn’t recover, falling 4-1 to North Texas SC. A combined 7-2 loss in the two games is a tough result on the weekend for the teams. Here are the stats and milestones from those games.
Sporting KC
Dejan Joveljic’s goal was his 22nd in league play for KC, breaking his tie with William Agada for 15th all time on that list.
It was his 22nd in MLS competitions, tying him with CJ Sapong for 15th all time on that list as well.
It was his 22nd in all competitions, breaking his tie with Mark Chung and Chris Brown for 20th all time on that list.
Joveljic’s goal was his 9th in league play for KC away from home, tying him with Sapong for 17th all time on that list.
It was his 9th in all competitions away from home as well, tying him with Brown and Matt McKeon for 20th all time on that list.
The loss was John Pulskamp’s 38th in league play for KC, tying him with Jimmy Nielsen for 3rd all time on that list.
Sporting KC II
SKCII have won just one of their last 16 games in regulation.
Ty Haas became the 11th youngest player to score a goal for SKCII in league play and in all competitions.
