Sporting Kansas City dropped two more points late in the second half on Saturday against St. Louis City at Children’s Mercy Park. After coming back from a halftime deficit to take a 3-2 lead KC allowed a stoppage time equalizer to all St. Louis to head back across the state with a share of the points. It ends a winless home stand where Sporting went 0-1-2, taking just two points in the three games where they also scored eight goals.

Here are the stats and milestones from Saturday night.

In the 72nd minute, Tim Melia passed Nick Garcia and moved into 5th place all time for minutes played in all competitions for KC. He finished the game with 24,669 minutes played.

Melia made his 274th appearance in all competitions, breaking his tie with Garcia and Davy Arnaud for 5th all time on that list.

Melia made his 241st appearance in league play, breaking his tie with Arnaud for 4th all time on that list.

Alan Pulido scored his 31st goal in MLS competitions, tying him with Benny Feilhaber for 11th all time on that list.

It was Pulido’s 32nd in all competitions, tying him with Mo Johnston for 11th all time on that list.

At 34 years, 43 days, Pulido became the 14th oldest player to score in league play or all competitions for Sporting.

Pulido’s goal was his 14th at home in league play for KC, tying him with Jimmy Conrad for 14th all time on that list.

It was Pulido’s 15th in all competitions at home, tying him with Igor Simutenkov for 17th all time on that list.

Daniel Salloi made his 173rd start in all competitions, tying him with Johnny Russell for 13th all time on that list.

The soccer capital of the USA my butt we either need to drop the tagline or drop the manager. He has had ample opportunity to bring glory back to the city, but he hasn’t. If he was managing for any other club, he would’ve been sacked along time ago, I guess since the club is insistent upon being mediocre, then we are in for a long ride that will get us nowhere. I’m tired of all of the Peter apologist extolling his virtues. I’m not seeing them in wins and losses. Well, I guess I am seeing them at losses and dropped points.
