Across State Lines: Puncec Out in Bulgaria

Another former Kansas City player is on the look out for a new club. Former Sporting KC central defender, Roberto Puncec, the club’s Defensive Player of the Year in 2020 is looking for a new club. This past week, Puncec and his Bulgarian club, Botev Plovdiv mutually agreed to terminate his contract with the club. Puncec since February of 2022 after Sporting didn’t pick up his option after the 2021 MLS season. He played forty-eight games in just over a season and a half with the club.

Also this week, former Sporting KC II player, Diedie Traore has a new club as he has joined Belgian fourth division team UR La Louviere Centre.
