Juice Boxes and Post Game Stats: Salloi Reaches 50 Goals



Sporting KC advanced in the US Open Cup on Tuesday night at Children’s Mercy Park, defeating the visiting Tulsa Athletic 3-0. Here are the stats and milestones from the game.

Daniel Salloi’s goal was his 50th in all competitions for KC. He’s the 5th player to reach that mark. He’s the second youngest after Dom Dwyer.

His goal was his 16th game winner in all competitions for KC, tying him with Dom Dwyer for the most all time in team history.

Salloi scored his 35th goal at home in all competitions, breaking his tie with Johnny Russell and Davy Arnaud for 3rd all time on that list.

Salloi’s assist was his 27th in all competitions for KC, breaking his tie with Mark Chung for 10th all time on that list.

By the end of the game, Salloi had moved into 12th all time for minutes played in the US Open Cup, moving pass Jacob Peterson, Chris Klein, and Ilie Sanchez on that list.

It was Salloi’s 13th appearance in the US Open Cup, tying him with Kevin Ellis, Chance Myers, and Nick Garcia for 8th all time on that list.

Roger Espinoza made his 6th appearance as a substitute in the US Open Cup, giving him sole possession of 2nd place all time on that list.
