Midweek action with two Kansas City teams in action last night as Sporting KC and the KC Current took the field. The Current continued their Challenge Cup run on the road against Racing Louisville, falling 3-2. The late game saw Sporting take the field against Los Angeles FC pulling out a 1-1 draw on the road. Here are the stats and milestones from the two games.

Sporting KC

Johnny Russell scored against his 18th different MLS team in league play, tying him with Benny Feilhaber and Dom Dwyer for the most in club history.

Russell scored his 50th league goal for KC, he’s the 3rd player to reach that mark.

Russell made his 150th start in all competitions for KC, he’s the 18th player to reach that mark.

It was Russell’s 140th start in MLS competitions, tying him with Matt McKeon for 17th all time on that list.

It was Russell’s 18th goal away from home in league play, tying him with Chris Klein for 4th all time on that list.

It was Russell’s 20th goal in all competitions away from home, tying him with Klein for 4th all time on that list as well.

At 33 years, 39 days, Russell became the 13th oldest player to score a goal for KC in league play or in all competitions.

Graham Zusi made his 50th substitute appearance in all competitions, tying him with Roger Espinoza for 6th all time.

Zusi is the 7th player to appear 50 times for KC as a substitute in all competitions.

Zusi made his 48th substitute appearance in MLS competitions, breaking his tie with Jacob Peterson for 4th all time on that list.

Debinha’s goal was her 5th in all competitions for KC, giving her sole possession of 5th place on that list.

In the 6th minute, AD Franch passed Hailie Mace and moved into 5th all time for minutes played in all competitions for KC. She finished the game with 3,690 minutes played.

Franch made her 41st start in all competitions, tying her with Mace for 5th all time on that list.

Lo LaBonta made her 93rd appearance in all competitions for KC NWSL teams, tying her with Becky Sauerbrunn for 4th all time on that list.

Debinha scored her 5th goal in all competitions for KC NWSL teams, tying her with Maegan Kelly for 12th all time on that list.

Hailie Mace made her 47th appearance in all competitions, tying her with Elizabeth Ball for 4th all time on that list.
