Another weekend with all four professional teams in Kansas City in action. This weekend both the KC Comets and Sporting KC II picked up wins, the later in a shootout after a 1-1 draw with Austin FC II. The Comets took care of business in their regular season finale, beating the Harrisburg Heat 5-1, but will be on the road for the playoffs against Utica City FC on April 10th. Earlier in the day on Saturday, the KC Current fell to the Portland Thorns in an NWSL Championship rematch, 4-1. Sporting KC picked up 0-0 draw on the road against the Philadelphia Union. Here are the stats and milestones from this weekend.

Sporting KC

At 36 years, 321 days, Tim Melia became the 3rd oldest player to appear in or start a game for KC in league play or in all competitions.

In the 44th minute, Melia passed Davy Arnaud and moved into 6th place all time for league minutes played for KC. He finished the game with 19,446 minutes played.

Melia made his 246th start in all competitions, breaking his tie with Seth Sinovic for 6th all time on that list.

Johnny Russell made his 154th appearance in MLS competitions, tying him with Michael Harrington for 19th all time on that list.
